Unable to create chapters due to soft subtitles present

description

Hi. I am new to drax.

I have been using drax to create chapters in my .m4v movie files AFTER I added soft subtitles using mp4box.

Here is what i always do:
  • using mp4box i convert my .srt file to .ttxt
  • using mp4box again i combine the .ttxt subtitle file to my .mp4 video file
  • on completion, i changed the extension to .m4v and used drax to create chapters
However for a particular .mp4 file,
  • on opening drax to fill up the chapter timelines, numbering, etc, I found the subtitles instead!
I have never encountered this for my previous files.

Please help me.
  • How do I get rid of the subtitles so that I can enter the chapter markers? (I tried deleting the subtitles but there is only an option to do it one by one)
  • Will I still have my soft subtitles after?

Apparently Drax identifies the subtitles as chapters. Can you try to create the chapters first and afterwards add the subtitles?

I tried.

mp4box then gave an error. Didn't capture that.

Hmm. You can also try alternative tools, for example, MetaX (Mac, Windows).
